Dr. Steven Speights is a board certified urogynecologist treating patients at Southeast Urogyn in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Speights specializes in minimally invasive urogynecologic surgeries including outpatient hysterectomy, outpatient sacralcopopexy, and treatments for overactive bladder, incontinence, vaginal mesh and vaginal support problems. Dr. Speights has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and also provides surgical and non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments.
Dr. Speights completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Mississippi before earning his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He served his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Speights went on to complete fellowships in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the University of Michigan Health systems, followed by further advanced laparoscopic pelvic surgery training at the Atlanta Center for Laparoscopic Urogynecology. Dr. Speights is double board-certified in Gynecology and Obstetrics as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a member of several medical societies and associations including the Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Urogynecologic Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and many more.
Dr. Speights is known for his gentle and compassionate care of women suffering from pelvic health concerns and he is committed to developing partnerships with his patients to work together toward improved health and wellbeing. He looks forward to meeting new patients at Southeast Urogyn.
