Dr. Smith, MD was born and raised in Georgia. He graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Hospital / UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to complete a three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Smith offers multiple modalities for treatment of pelvic floor disorders. His interests include management of urinary incontinence, over active bladder, recurrent urinary tract infections, and pelvic organ prolapse. He has extensive training in minimally invasive surgical techniques including vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic routes of surgery. He has presented research at multiple national meetings such as the American Urogynecologic Society and the Society for Gynecologic Surgeons.
He and his wife Angela have two sons, Ethan and Austin. They enjoy traveling, biking and skiing.
