Berger, Alexander MD

I am a fellowship trained and double board certified urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon. In addition to providing care to patients, I help teach future specialists in women's health and help research future solutions to women with pelvic floor disorders. I completed residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Fellowship at University of California-San Diego and Kaiser San Diego.

Urogynecology is relatively new, though it’s evolving rapidly with advances in technology and pharmaceutical treatments. In my practice, I treat all issues involving pelvic organs including the uterus, vagina, and rectum. Some common conditions I see are pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary or fecal incontinence. I also perform same-day, minimally invasive surgeries using minimally invasive laparoscopy and robotic surgery techniques that allow for quick recovery and return to normal activity.
I take a patient-centered approach to care. It’s important to empower patients with an understanding for their condition and treatment options. I provide them with both information and support to empower them in their decision-making process.

I also speak Spanish fluently and look forward to serving Spanish speaking patients within our community.
