Dr. Daniel Gruber earned a Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Irvine, and was commissioned into the Air Force. After serving as an officer in an aircraft maintenance squadron at Offutt AFB, NE and simultaneously earning a Masters of Science degree he completed his medical degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He then finished OB/GYN residency at David Grant Medical Center at Travis AFB in Northern California.
Dr. Gruber then was a general OB/GYN in Birburg, Germany and at Joint Base Andrews, MD. His next accomplishment was completing a fellowship in Female Pelvic Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (Urogynecology) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He stayed there for the next 9 years serving in multiple roles, including Division Director for Urogynecology, Assistant Department Chief for OB/GYN, Fellowship Director, creating numerous surgical videos and publications. All while having the highest clinic and surgical volume in the Urogynecology Division. After serving 22 years active duty, he retired as a Colonel.
Dr. Gruber is double board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and serves in several roles for the American Urogynecologic Society and Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. He is also an Associate Professor at the Uniformed Services University and an Assistant Professor for Johns Hopkins Medicine. Dr. Gruber is currently Medical Director of Urogynecology at Sibley Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Gruber is highly skilled in all office-based procedures and all minimally invasive surgical techniques.
