Lauren Witmer, DO, FACOG

Dr. Lauren Witmer brings extensive expertise to women with pelvic floor disorders who come to the Women’s Specialty Center located in the heart of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  She serves as the Division Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.  Dr. Witmer also serves as the Managing Physician of the practice.

 

Dr. Witmer earned her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, PA.  Dr. Witmer finished an accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.  She is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as FPMRS and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

Dr. Witmer is highly skilled in office-based procedures and minimally invasive surgical techniques including the da Vinci Robotic System and practices full-spectrum FPMRS with special interest in pelvic organ prolapse as well as bladder and bowel incontinence.

 

When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her children, family, and friends.  She enjoys many outdoor activities such as spending time with her rescued mini donkeys, cheering her kids on in many sports, and competing in league tennis.
