Dr. Slocum completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with Dr. Smith at Parkland Hospital / UT Southwestern Medical Center. Upon graduation, he completed three years of subspecialty training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (also known as Urogynecology) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. During fellowship, he and Stephanie were blessed by the birth of their son, Tripp.
Dr. Slocum specializes in treating women with a wide range of pelvic floor disorders. His interests include conservative and surgical therapies for urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis, and fistulae. He is certified by Intuitive Surgical to perform robotic procedures with the Da Vinci surgical system. He offers a wide range of procedures for the management of stress urinary incontinence and urgency urinary incontinence.
