After being an attending physician at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the department of female urology and voiding dysfunction where I also did my fellowship training in urogynecology, I developed an expertise in female urology, neurourology and voiding dysfunction for both males and females. I have published extensively in all aspects of urology, with an emphasis on urinary incontinence and vaginal vault prolapse and as result have been involved in many innovations in urogynecology. These innovative procedures have specifically focused on treating stress urinary incontinence with "sling" procedures as well as using Botox in the bladder to treat overactivity.
In July 1999, Dr. Serels joined Urology Associates of Norwalk. When he joined the Urology Associates of Norwalk, he founded the Bladder Control Center of Norwalk which offers a full range of diagnostic and treatment modalities related to bladder control, urinary incontinence, and pelvic prolapse.
Dr. Serels is Chief of Urogynecology and Urology at Norwalk Hospital.
Dr. Serels is certified by the American Board of Urology in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.
