Caroline Elmer-Lyon

Dr. Elmer completed her undergraduate studies at Hillsdale College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature, and also completed the pre-medical program. Dr. Elmer then lived in Berlin, Germany following undergrad, working with a church in East Berlin as an intern. After living in Berlin for 5 months, she returned to the US and completed medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine from 2008-2012. During medical school, she was introduced to urogynecology and she quickly fell in love with this specialty. Dr. Elmer then completed a busy OB/GYN residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio from 2012-2016, where she earned awards for Excellence in Endoscopic Surgery and Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. She then completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (aka urogynecology) at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics from 2016-2019. Dr. Elmer joined the urogynecology practice at St. Elizabeth Physicians in 2019 and has greatly enjoyed getting to know the women of Northern Kentucky and the Tri-State area, and is excited to provide them with advanced treatments for pelvic floor disorders.
